Venue:
Campus of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro, Seropédica, RJ, Brazil, about 80 km north-west of Rio de Janeiro.
Accomodations:
The official hotel will be Tulip Inn Itaguaí, City of Itaguaí, RJ (Rodovia Rio-Santos, km 398 - http://www.tulipinnitaguai.com). We advise the participants to book the hotel using the following email: reservas.tiitaguai@goldentulip.com.br. Do not forget to mention that you are going to participate in the 3rd International Soil Judging Contest (to get the discount price). The accommodation costs are not included in the registration and must be paid by the participants.
Participants:
90 (organizers and competitors).
Participant eligibility:
Full time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled before the contest in 2018.
Team composition:
One coach and four students (undergraduate students are preferred and encouraged).
Entrance fee:
Free.
Registration:
All the students, coaches and even the volunteers must be registered for 21WCSS.
Awards:
Individual, team event and overall.
Transportation:
The transfer from the hotel to the contest site will be provided.
Food:
Lunches and snacks will be provided by the organizers.
Contest equipment:
All the individual equipment needed for soil judging, such as: soil knife, water bottle, color chart, clinometer, etc., must be provided by competitors as only limited number can be supplied by the organizers. No communication-capable devices will be allowed during the contest. More information will be available soon.
